Isonomist's son (see here) died yesterday afternoon.
May light eternal shine upon him, O Lord,
in the company of Thy saints forever, for Thou art merciful.
Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him
Eternal light shine upon him, O Lord.
Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord.
(These words are a slight paraphrase - substituting "him" for "them" - of the words from the Requiem Mass as used in Greg Newsome's Lux Aeterna - see here and scroll down.)
Thanks, Claude. What a tragedy this has been.
ReplyDeleteClaude,
ReplyDeleteIn lieu of more posts, flowers, notes or cards, and trying to find a way for Iso's friends from the fray to show their sympathy and express their condolences - we came up with an idea that you'll hear more about this week.
Iso's son was 22, (I mistakenly on wrote his age as 19 earlier) and he was attending law school at Dartmouth. His friends are endowing a chair in his name, and anyone who would like to contribute will be able to do so as soon as we set up some sort of address & contact person. We want to respect Iso's privacy at this time, so rather than publish her son's name (or hers) we'll do it through one of us instead.
More on this later...
