Are the Rays the Mets of '08?

It's beginning to look that way. At least it's the Red Sox, not the Yanks, who are likely to benefit from this collapse.

Of course, it's still possible that the Mets could be the Mets of '08.

    i'd say no, because a) no one expected this (i thought it was still about 2-3 years away, but coming) and b) if they lose the AL East, they'll likely still get the wild card. it's not like they've been getting blown out of the water lately. and no one really expects to win against halladay.
