Lisa Swan, a true blue Yankees fan, has
expressed her reservations about the hoopla, and, were I a Yankee fan, I might well feel the same. Nevertheless, I'm delighted to see a great player achieve this distinction, even if he had to do it by getting a home run against my favorite, old home town, Designated Hitter League team. After all, I owe Jeter a debt of gratitude for
his house having
driven more traffic to my blog than any topic except
Grace Slick or
