1-0. A great baseball game. In the day of homers or strikeouts, I guess there were a lot more strikeouts. I heard a baseball pundit today say that Joe Maddon believes that the next dominant team will be a 80s version: a slugger surrounded by guys who can hit, and run, and move runners along. My team, the Pirates, have little hope. But in a short season.....
ReplyDeleteHey Claude. That was me in the last one - Bernie from the old Lion's Head and mostly the Kettle of Fish, which was much more friendly than the macho Lion's Head. Just sayin.

DeleteAfter a horrid two outings, the Mets are now a .500 team again, at the expense of my wife's beloved Red Sox, who are now 1-3. She believes it's a good omen if the Sox have a bad start.
